Michael “Mike” McCullough, age 53, of Russell, Kansas, died Friday, May 7, 2021, at his home. He was born July 30, 1967, at Denver, Colorado, to Jacob L. McCullough and Nancy Lee (Simmons) White.
He worked in the Ellis and Russell County oil fields for a number of years. He grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas then moved to Hill City, Kansas, where he attended school. He moved to Russell, Kansas, about a year ago from Hays, Kansas.
Survivors include three sons, Dale VanDruff and Halley Miller, Wamego, KS; Robert McCullough, Larned, KS; Chayse McCullough, Plainville, KS; one daughter, Brooke Parkin and husband, (Benjamin), Greensburg, KS; four brothers, James McCullough and wife, Misty Dawn, Macon, MO; Jacob McCullough and wife, Doneta, North Pole, AK; Christopher McCullough, Russell, KS; David Hickey, Olathe, KS; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three infant sons.
His wishes were cremation, and the family will be having a Celebration Of Life Service at a later date. Inurnment will be in the Larned City Cemetery.
