Edward W. 'Ed' Walker

Edward W. “Ed” Walker, 72, Logan, Kansas, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021, at his home.

Ed was born May 19, 1948, in rural Rooks County, Kansas, the son of Mildred L. (Spargo) Walker and her significant other, Lee Wildrix.  He was a resident for 25+ years of Logan, Kansas, moving from Great Bend, Kansas.  He worked as a driver many years for Marlette Homes, Great Bend, Kansas, and Schult Homes, Plainville, Kansas.  He also drove for Superior Mobile Home Moving, Hill City, Kansas, Wellex, Williston, North Dakota, and Koch Industries, Wichita, Kansas.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He loved to fish, hunt, and play golf.  He also was an avid NASCAR fan.

Survivors include:  two sisters, Linda Groff (James), Stockton, Kansas, and Patty Eggers, Sterling, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David A. Walker;  and one sister, Bonnie Thompson.

Cremation has been chosen.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers or plants, the family request memorials to Hospice Services, Inc., Phillipsburg, Kansas.
