The fourth-ranked Fort Hays State women's basketball team returns home to host Rogers State Thursday evening inside Gross Memorial Coliseum beginning at 5:30 p.m.

This is the first home action for the Tigers in nearly three weeks. Fort Hays State (19-3, 13-3 MIAA) went 3-1 on the long road trip, including a road win over then-league-leading Nebraska-Kearney. The Tigers currently sit atop the MIAA standings in a tie with Missouri Southern with six games to play.

A win would give the Tigers 200 wins since the start of the 2014-15 season. To date, FHSU is 199-41 since that point (.829 win pct). A win would also give the Tigers their 11th-straight 20-win season. In comparison, FHSU had just eight such campaigns over the first 42 years of the program before the current run began in 2011-12.

Jaden Hobbs had a double-double with 11 points and 11 assists the last time Rogers State played in Hays (12/20/20). Whitney Randall is averaging 13.8 points per game in five matchups with the Hillcats, including a season-high 23 points on the road against RSU earlier this season.

The Tigers are 2-0 when coming off a loss so far this season. FHSU is 50-44 following a loss during head coach Tony Hobson's 14-year career.

Fort Hays State is 5-0 against the Hillcats in a series that started two years ago when Rogers State became associate members of the MIAA. The Tigers are 2-0 against RSU at home. After rallying for a narrow two-point win in the first meeting, each game has been decided by at least 15 points.

Rogers State has won six of its last eight games, including four-straight against Kansas-based teams (WU, ESU, PSU, NU). The Hillcats are 4-6 in true road games this year. Three Hillcats average in double figures in scoring, including Bailey Kliewer with 13.4 points per game, Jordan Lewis with 12.1 points per contest and Vanessa Gajdosova with 10.4 points each night. The RSU defense allows its opponents a shooting percentage of 43.2 percent, third-worst in the MIAA. The Hillcats average 30.9 rebounds per contest, fewest in the MIAA.
