Roosevelt Elementary students recently took part in "The Body Venture" experience with Fort Hays State University (FHSU) students in the Health and Human Performance department.
It’s a traveling display that teaches students about the journey their food takes through their body and what they need to do in order to stay healthy. The entire thing is an interactive blow-up the students walk through, all while role-playing a certain type of food from start to finish.
They included games and dancing to demonstrate how your body uses your food for fuel to play and be active.
Each year, FHSU invites Hays schools and the surrounding schools to be a part of this awesome experience.
