Vincent Joseph “Vinny” Pablo, 32, Hays, died Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at HaysMed.
He was born May 13, 1988 in Missoula, Montana, the son of Vincent David Pablo and Birdie Shortman. In 2006 he graduated from Flandreau High School in Flandreau, South Dakota. He moved to Hays to attend Fort Hays State University. Vinny was witty and funny, loved his cat Athena, was a Dallas Cowboys fan, and liked to watch The Golden Girls and Steel Magnolias. He enjoyed dancing, playing darts, pool, golf, and horseshoes, and completing crossword and puzzle books.
Survivors include his parents; Birdie and Loren Ukestine of Sioux Falls, SD, Vincent Pablo of Arlee, MT, and Robert Sanchez of Flandreau, SD, his grandmother; Darlyne Shortman of Havre, MT, his aunt; Tara Thorne of Hays, three brothers; Emanuel Sanchez of Havre, MT, Shawn Pablo and Shelby Shortman both of Flandreau, SD, six sisters; Morgan Pearson of Hays, Miranda Pablo of Arlee, MT, Shelbie Shortman of Sioux Falls, SD, Kennedy Sanchez of Havre, MT, Maria Pablo and Isabel Pablo both of Arlee, MT.
He was preceded in death by his sister; Roberta Sanchez.
Funeral services will be in Havre, Montana. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery in Havre. A memorial service will be in Hays at a later date.
