THOMAS COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 5:30p.m. Saturday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Mercedes Sprinter driven by Stephen Anthony Morrow, 57, Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, was eastbound on Interstate 70 six miles west of U.S. 24. The van traveled off the road to the left. The driver overcorrected, crossed the center line before overcorrecting again and then began to slide broadside. The vehicle tripped and began rolling into the median an unknown number of times before coming to rest on its wheels in the westbound driving lane.
EMS transported Morrow and a passenger Sean Robert Hennessy, 24, Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, to Citizens Medical Center. They were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
