Norman Parker, age 82, of Hays, Kansas passed away November 25, 2021 at the Kansas Soldiers Home in Ft. Dodge, Kansas

Norman was born April 15, 1939 to Ephraim Lawrence Parker and Eunice Margaret (Perdue) Parker, he attended St Joseph's Military school. In his senior year he joined the Air Force where he earned his high school diploma. Following his career in the Air Force, he moved to Chicago working as a cook where he was recognized as a master chef in the area. As a long-haul truck driver, he logged many miles across the lower 48 states in a lengthy career enjoying all the wonderful scenery our great country offers. While married to Phyllis Lorraine Gilbert, he had four cherished children: Dan, Teri, Tina, and Charlie. He was a proud Grandfather to Branden, Ryan, Heather, Kayla, Steven, Tara, Dustin, Alex, and Jordan and a Great Grandfather to Seth, Matthew, Charlee, Trinity, Nicholas, Andrew, Destinee, Natalee, Mason, and Dustin. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly by the Parkers’ and others who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his older brothers Thomas and Eddie of Hays KS, Charles of Englewood CO, his ex-wife Phyllis, and his son Charlie of Denver CO.

Memorial services will be held on December 18, 2021 at 2 PM at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel, 2509 Vine Street Hays, Kansas 67601.  Military honors will be rendered by the Hays VFW Post 9076.
