Edwin Eugene Holsman Sr., 93, passed away on October 19, 2021, at his
home in Pinedale, WY. He was born on October 10, 1928, in Bogue, KS to
Charley and Cora (Merrel) Holsman. While growing up, he lived in Horton,
Atwood, Colby and Oberlin, Kansas.
On December 6, 1953, Edwin united with Lila Withington in Atwood, KS.
To this union they had two sons and one daughter. Edwin served in the
Army for 2 years. He worked at Texico gas station, Good Sam’s, nursing
homes, and Colby Community College. His hobbies were woodworking,
camping and fishing.
Edwin is survived by son: Kevin (Tammy) Holsman of Pinedale WY;
daughter: Brenda Anderson of Bismarck, ND; brothers: C.F. (Dorene)
Holsman of Topeka, KS and Gerald (Mary) Holsman of Horton, KS;
grandchildren: Abigail Anderson, Angela Anderson, Kelly Hake, Kayla
(Jeremy) Williams, Amanda (Granite) McMartin, Chase Holsman; 13 great
grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lila Holsman; son: Edwin (Kathy) Holsman, Jr. and sister Evelyn Peters; brother-in-laws: Harlan Withington, Harold Withington, Melvin Withington, and Royal Chessmore; sister-in-laws: Mary Kay Holsman, Hilda Chessmore, Irene Withington, Judy Withington, and Hazel Withington.
