BELLEVILLE – Plainville senior Park Krob shot a 1-over-par 72 to tie for first place and help the Plainville boys golf team to a third place finish at Monday’s Republic County 2A Regional at the Belleville Country Club. The Cardinals shot a 356 and advance to next week’s 2A State Tournament.
Krob parred 16 of the 18 holes and tied Sacred Heart’s Kameron Shaw for the individual title. Hill City’s Dylan Budig qualified for state as an individual, finishing 13th with an 11-over 85.
The 2A State Tournament will be held at the Salina Municipal Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday (May 24-25).
