Clifton J. 'Cliff' Werth

Clifton J. “Cliff” Werth, 41, Hays, died Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at his home.

He was born May 22, 1980 in Hays, the son of Firman and Sharen K. “Sherry” (Ree) Werth.  He worked for FedEx, Town and Country Water Well Service, and was a jack-of-all trades, working various jobs in maintenance, pest control, and roofing.  Cliff was a Dallas Cowboys fan, and his hobbies included watching football, fishing, and kayaking.  He enjoyed gatherings with family and friends and spending time with his children. 

Survivors include his mother and stepfather: Sherry and Gary Feltis of Hays, stepmother: Irene Werth of Ellsworth, his son, daughter, and stepson: Derick Werth, Hailey Werth, and Trey Sechrist, all of Gainesville, TX, a brother: Craig Werth and wife Rosie of Hays, and a sister: Denise Miller and her significant other Rob Frisch of Merrill, WI.

He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents: Paul and Emmerentia Werth and Albert and Rita Ree.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Monday, July 26, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Fr. Richard Daise officiating.  Inurnment will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery, Schoenchen.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 on Sunday and from 9:00 am until 9:45 on Monday, all at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.  A vigil service and rosary will be at 6:30 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
