Barton Dean Blickenstaff, 64, of Golden, Colorado, passed away May 17,
2021. He was born May 14, 1957, in Norton, Kansas, to Curtis Dean and
Myrth Evelyn (Maddox) Blickenstaff.
Bart grew up in Norton and was a 1975 graduate of Norton Community
High School. He went on to attend Kansas State University for a few
years after high school. Bart was a huge fan of all types of music,
including rock ‘n’ roll, country, blues, and even pop. During his years
in Dallas, Texas he worked as sound engineer with bands that traveled
the country. He was on the road for months at a time, but he loved every
minute. Bart met a lot of different people and personalities. Working
at a different venue almost every night took a lot of skill and
patience.
Bart was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Myrth
Blickenstaff. He is survived by his brothers, Bret Blickenstaff and wife
Sandra of Overland Park, Kansas, and Curt Blickenstaff and wife Laura of
Lenexa, Kansas.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 am Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at
the Norton Cemetery.
