Virginia F. Depperschmidt, 73, died on Saturday September 25, 2021, at
her home. She was born on November 9, 1947, at Larned the daughter of
Jess C. & Caterina (Amoruso) Miller. She married Leo L.
Depperschmidt on November 15, 1969 at LaCrosse.
Virginia grew up on the family farm in Ness County and graduated from
Bazine High School. She had worked at several jobs before moving with
her husband to Garden City in 1970 and was mainly a homemaker. She was
of the Lutheran faith and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her Husband- Leo L. Depperschmidt, 2 Daughters-
Katrina L. Coast of Beeler and Lori A. Strasser of Garden City, 4
Sisters- Marlene Winter of Burdett, Linda Denning of Hays, Julie Tejeda
of Wichita and Edna Ayers of Peabody, 2 Grandchildren and several
Great-Grandchildren.
There will be no public services held. Memorials are suggested to
Finney County Library in care of Garnand Funeral Home. Condolences may
