Hays received .70 inches of rain over the weekend as recorded at the Eagle Media Center, 2300 Hall St.

Hays has received .85  inches of rain for the month of August, compared to an average by the end of August of 3.03 inches, according to the K-State Ag Research Center in Hays.

Hays has received 17.74 inches of rain year to date, compared to an average of 17.71 inches of rain by the end of August.

The forecast through Friday is sunny with a slight chance of thunderstorms on Tuesday night.
