AUGUSTA – Hays High freshman cross country runner Arely Maldonado wrapped up her freshman season with a 66th-place finish at the 5A state meet in Augusta.
Maldonado finished with a time of 21:44.02.
Maize South won the team title followed by Bishop Carroll and Blue Valley Southwest. Great Bend was sixth.
