
Richard "Rick" L. Cooper, 67, of Cape May Court House, NJ, passed away
on Sunday, January 17, 2021. Born in Concordia, KS to the late Milton L.
Cooper and June L. Anderson Cooper, he moved here over 10 years ago
from Hays, KS.
Rick was a high school art teacher before working in the
maintenance of the athletic department at Fort Hays State University,
from which he retired. He then started working as a plumbing sales
associate at The Home Depot.
Rick loved his three Shih Tzus — Tumbalina, Rusty, and Tucker. He
enjoyed art, woodworking, and collecting antique toys. His favorite
thing to do was run the Saturday Kid’s Workshop at The Home Depot.
Rick is survived by his sister, Nancy L. Mills; his brother, Stevan
F. Cooper; his five nieces, Katie, Susan, Shelley, Janet, and Marie;
and his great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by his son, Robert Lee Cooper; his brother, Alan Kent
Cooper; and his niece, Jennifer.
Services will be held in Kansas. Memorial donations may be made
