TOPEKA - The Kansas State High School Activities Association released Sub-State brackets for Classes 4A, 5A and 6A Saturday morning. The Hays High girls are the No. 2 seed in 5A West while the boys are the five-seed. Both will play first-round games at home next week.
Schools were placed into two groups of 18 schools. The top 16 seeds were placed into four sub-states of four teams. All games will be played at the higher seeded team. First round boys games in Class 5A will be played at the higher seeded team on Tuesday, March 3 and first round girls games on Wednesday, March 4. Boys finals will be played at the higher seeded team on Friday, March 6 with the girls finals on Saturday, March 7.
