A Red Flag Warning has been issued from noon until 9 p.m. today for Ellis County.

Other affected counties include&nbsp;Trego, Scott, Lane, Ness, Rush, Hamilton, Kearny, Finney, Hodgeman,&nbsp;Pawnee, Stafford, Stanton, Grant, Haskell-Gray, Ford, Edwards, Kiowa,&nbsp;Pratt-Morton, Stevens, Seward, Meade, Clark, Comanche and Barber.

Winds will be&nbsp;20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.&nbsp;Relative humidity will be as low as 11 percent.&nbsp;

Any fire that develops will catch and spread  quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended, according to the National Weather Service.

A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for Tuesday afternoon across all zones.

The high for today in Hays is forecast to be 88 degrees.
