RUSH COUNTY —Three people were injured in an accident just after 12:30p.m. Friday in Rush County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Nissan Murano driven by Kristopher Younger, 46, Hays, was northbound on U.S. 183. five miles south of Rush Center. The SUV traveled left of center and struck axle 4 and axle 5 on a southbound 2020 Freightliner semi driven by Difiore Duchesne, Domenec Difiore Duchesne, 31, Garden City.
After impact the Nissan entered the west ditch and rolled onto its top.
EMS transported Younger and two passengers, a 15-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl both from Jetmore to Hays Medical Center. The teen girl was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
