Savella Gallentine

Savella Gallentine was born May 4, 1941, in Tasco, Kansas, to Lloyd and Fleta (Getz) Long. She passed away on January 3, 2021, in Norton, Kansas, at the age of 79.

Savella was a 1959 graduate of Norton Community High School. She married Gary Gallentine in Norton in 1979. Savella was the owner of K & S Center Café in Norton for 27 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed walking and working in the yard. Most of all, she loved her family.

Savella was preceded in death by parents; husband, Gary Gallentine; stepsons, Doug and Shawn Gallentine; sister, Delores “Dee” Altman and step grandson, Jacob Gallentine. She is survived by sons, Richard and Helen Karnopp of Oberlin and Kelly and April Karnopp of Norton; stepsons, Kirk and Deanna Gallentine of Norton and Brett Gallentine of Norton; daughter-in-law, Kim Gallentine of Norton; sisters, Opal Smith of Sterling, Kansas and Sheila (Mike) Rieger of Butte, Montana; brother, Lloyd Long; five grandchildren; six step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and former daughter-in-law, Vicky Gallentine of Norton.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Norton Cemetery, Norton, Kansas. Arrangements by Plumer-Gobber Funeral Home (previously known as Enfield Funeral Home) Norton, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Savella Gallentine Memorial Fund.
