The Kansas Department of Health and Environment reported an outbreak of COVID-19 at the Norton Correctional Facility, the largest active coronavirus cluster in the state.
KDHE on Wednesday reported 349 active COVID clusters in the state, accounting for 6,953 cases, 79 hospitalizations and 64 deaths.
There were 156 COVID cases reported at the Norton prison in the last 14 days.
Other northwest Kansas clusters identified by KDHE were:

• Rush County Memorial Hospital ISB Unit, La Crosse, 8 cases
• Russell Regional Hospital, 8 cases
• Homestead Assisted Living of Russell, 5 cases
• Wheatland Nursing Center, Russell, 7 cases
• Wichita County Long Term Care, Leoti, 12 cases
• La Crosse USD 395, 24 cases
