Driver hospitalized after ejected in NW Kansas semi accident

RAWLINS COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 11:30a.m. Tuesday in Rawlins County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Kenworth semi driven by Bradley A. Barnes, 61, Lexington, Nebraska, was southbound on Kansas 117 eleven and one half miles north of U.S. 36. The driver failed to maintain a proper lane. The vehicle traveled onto the right shoulder and ditch with right and left side rear tires. The driver attempted to drive back onto the road. The semi overturned into the right ditch and the driver was ejected from the vehicle.

EMS transported Barnes to the Rawlins County Hospital. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the KHP.
