Hays received its first rainfall of the month during the weekend — .38 inches was measured at the K-State Ag Research Center.
Hays remains more than 2.5 inches below average for the year.
It has received 19.48 inches year-to-date compared to an average of 22.11 inches by the end of November, according to the research center.

The eastern portion of Ellis County remains in extreme drought, according to the Kansas Drought Monitor, which was released on Thursday. Western Ellis County is listed in severe drought. The drought has eased in southwest portions of the state.
The National Weather Service predicts a slight chance for snow on Friday. Thanksgiving travel on Wednesday and Thursday is forecast to be clear with a high of 63 on Wednesday and 50 on Thanksgiving Day.
The forecast is clear on Saturday and Sunday with highs in the 30s and 40s.
