WICHITA - The Hays High boys golf team shot a 330 in Wednesday's final round of the 5A State Golf Tournament at the Tallgrass Golf Club in Wichita and placed sixth. The Indians finish 42 strokes behind first place St. James Academy (606). Kapaun Mt. Carmel finished second (610) and Bishop Carroll third (612).
Dalton Scmidtberger closed with an 80 in the final round and tied for 13th place at 11-over par. Schmidtberger was tied for third after shooting a 73 in the first round on Tuesday.
Goddard's Cohen Museousky was the individual champ with rounds of 71 and 72 and won by two strokes over Goddard-Eisenhower's Luke Springer.
