On December 6, 2021, Jean Lilian Wilson passed away at the Dighton
Hospital surrounded by family. A funeral service will be held at 10:30
am Monday December 13, 2021, at the First Christian Church of Dighton.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Lane County Hospital in care of
Boomhower Funeral Home.
Jean was born in London, England, on March 1st, 1938. She moved to
Kansas after marrying Calvin Wilson on February 26th, 1966. Calvin and
Jean met on a blind date while Calvin was stationed in England with the
United States Airforce. Jean loved to knit, dance, read, and be with
family.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Vero, Cynthia, and Alice
Playel and her siblings Roy, Ken, and Lucy Playel all of England. She is
survived by her husband Calvin Wilson of Dighton; her sons Kenroy and
Lori Wilson of Galva and Toby and Susan Wilson of Dighton; and her
grandchildren Reece and Kyra Wilson of Herington, Tristan and Cyrus
Hanes of Russell, Brianne and Mark Helten of Mount Hope, Brenna Wilson
of Wichita, Connor Wilson of Dighton, and Collin, Kaitlyn, and Caleb
Hoeffner of Galva.
