GOVE COUNTY—A teen was injured in an accident just before 4p.m. Tuesday in Gove County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol a 2018 Polaris Ranger XP driven by Tracy Beckner, 16, Wirtz, Vermont, was northbound on County Road 78 approximately one half mile south of Old Highway 4o.
The driver made a several point turn to go southbound and accelerated at a high rate of speed with a very strong wind pushing from behind. The driver lost control of the vehicle and rolled into the east ditch.
EMS transported Wirz to Gove County Medical Center Four juvenile passengers present in the vehicle; juvenile record protected data, according to the KHP.
