GOVE COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 12:30a.m. Wednesday in Gove County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported 2023 Subaru Outback driven by Joel P. Lundeen, 52, Breckenridge, Colorado, was eastbound in the south ditch along Interstate 70 five and one half miles east of Oakley. The vehicle traveled around the end of a bridge guardrail and descended the embankment. The SUV then struck the concrete bridge abutment and came to rest underneath the bridge.
EMS transported Lundeen to Gove County Medical Center. He was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
