HAYS, Kan. – Fort Hays State Women's Soccer announced the commitment of junior college transfer Claire Gaeth for the upcoming 2023 season. Gaeth played two years at Fresno City College, where she was a member of a pair of conference championship teams and helped her team to the CCCAA Final Four in 2022.
Gaeth was an All-Central Valley Conference First Team selection in 2022 as a defender, helping Fresno City to a record of 17-3-4. She helped the Rams to three playoff wins as they reached the CCCAA Championship Semifinals. Fresno City finished the 2022 season ranked No. 7 in the United Soccer Coaches NJCAA national rankings. Academically she was named to the Fresno City College President's List.
Gaeth is a native of Clovis, California, where she was an all-conference performer and served as team captain for Clovis East High School. She spent time with the Fresno Freeze of the Women's Premier Soccer League, starting eight contests and helping the team to a Pac North Conference semifinal appearance. She also spent time in the NorCal Player Development Program.
