Cecelia A. (Kreutzer) Crawford

Cecelia A. Crawford, age 83 died Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.  She was born November 8, 1937, in Hays, Kansas to Aloys and Cecilia (Braun) Kreutzer.  She married Ted J. Crawford on October 2, 1956, at Hays, Kansas.

She was a homemaker, enjoyed cooking and baking, but the love of her life were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and a Red Cross volunteer at St. Anthony’s Hospital both of Hays, Kansas.

Survivors include her husband, Ted Crawford, of the home; one son, Jeff Crawford and Diane Schlageck, Gorham, KS; two daughters, Deb Smith and husband, Mike, Plainville, KS; Laura Thomas and husband, Mark, Topeka, Ks; three brothers, Clifford Kreutzer and wife, Nancy, Ellis, KS; Nick Kreutzer and wife, Ruth, Bloomington, IN; Francis Kreutzer, Ellis, KS; one sister, Elizabeth Kreutzer, Ellis, KS; one brother-in-law, Lee Crawford and wife, Shirley, Russell, KS; one sister-in-law, Patsy Dreiling, Catharine, KS; nine grandchildren, Andrew Malleck (Casey); Aaron Crawford (Taylor); Adam Malleck (Marah); Cole Smith; Audrey Dougherty (Tyler); MaKayla Parton (Kelby); Austin Crawford; Michael Malleck (Amber); Jonah Smith; seven great grandchildren, Josephine Malleck, Lucy Malleck, Elias Crawford, Emma Parton, Claire Crawford, Delilah Malleck, Benelli Dougherty, and three great grandchildren on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gerald A, “Jerry” Crawford and one infant son, George Michael Crawford.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 18th and Vine, Hays, Kansas with Father Nick Parker as celebrant.  Burial will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Hays, Kansas.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Friday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601, and from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. Saturday, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays, Kansas.

A vigil service and rosary will be at 7:00 P.M. Friday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays.    

The family suggests memorials made payable to: Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Basement Building Fund in care of Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays.
