HUTCHINSON â Phillipsburgâs Ty Sides caught five passes for 126 yards including a 59-yard touchdown strike in the first quarter which gave the West the early lead and they went on to defeat the East 14-0 at Saturday Kansas Shrine Bowl at Gowans Stadium.
Sides finished with five catches for 126 yards and was named the gameâs Most Valuable Player as the West won their third straight.
Sides early touchdown catch capped a three-play 61-yard scoring drive and proved to be all the scoring the West would need. They would add a six-yard touchdown run from Clearwaterâs Tanner Cash with a little under five minutes to play.
Hays Highâs Gaven Haselhorst had three of the Westâs five sacks and finished with four tackles.
