SALINA – The Hays High girls’ golf team finished fifth at the 13-team Salina South Invitational Monday at the Salina Municipal Golf Course. The Indians shot a 386 and were 14 strokes behind fifth place Manhattan and 23 better than sixth place Salina South.
The Indians were paced by Kinley Pfannenstiel who tied for eighth with a 16-over-par 86. Ava Erbert tied for 25th with a 98.
Concordia’s Mya Niehues was the individual champ with a 2-over-par 72. Bishop Carroll won the team title with a 332, 20 strokes better than second place Goddard-Eisenhower.
