Platinum Group is pleased to welcome Brylee Mayo to its real estate team. A Hays native, Mayo is excited to begin this new chapter in her career and continue her passion for serving others through real estate.
Mayo was born in Hays and has called several places home throughout her life, but none have ever quite felt like home the way Hays does. Her connection to the community is one of the many reasons she is excited to build her career in real estate and become even more involved in the area.
Mayo originally pursued a career in cosmetology, attending cosmetology school and spending five years working in the beauty industry. Through that experience, she discovered how much she enjoyed building relationships, connecting with people and helping others feel confident and cared for.
Her decision to transition into real estate was heavily inspired by her mother, Sharrah Marshall, who has been a successful real estate professional for several years.
“My mom has always been someone I’ve looked up to, and I’ve always wanted to be like her,” Mayo said. “So, it really feels like a natural next step for me to follow in her footsteps and build a career in an industry that I’ve watched her love and succeed in.”
Mayo says that while her career path may have changed, her passion for serving others has remained the same. Whether she was working with clients in the salon or helping buyers and sellers navigate real estate, she has always valued creating meaningful relationships and making sure the people she serves feel supported.
“Serving people has always felt like my true calling,” Mayo said. “Whether that was in the salon or now in real estate, I love being able to help people and be part of something important in their lives.”
Through real estate, Mayo looks forward to helping clients find more than just a house, but a place where they can feel safe, loved and at home — a place where they can build memories for years to come. She is committed to making the buying and selling process as positive and personalized as possible while advocating for each client’s individual wants and dreams.
“I want every client to know that I’m here for them,” Mayo said. “I want to listen to what they want, advocate for their needs and give them the very best experience possible. Buying or selling a home is such a big moment in someone’s life, and I feel honored to be able to help them through it.”
As she begins her career with Platinum Group, Mayo looks forward to meeting new people, becoming even more involved in the Hays community and building lasting relationships with her clients. She hopes to bring the same genuine care and dedication to real estate that has guided her throughout her career in serving others.
