The path to college athletics was a little different than some, but for Jace St. Peter the journey still ended with a lifelong goal. The Hays High senior inked a National Letter of Intent to play soccer for Ottawa University on Wednesday morning.
St. Peter spent time researching colleges that held the program he wanted to major in but also had a soccer program that he believed he could contribute to. He reached out to Ottawa University and they eventually became his first offer. An offer that he made official in the Hays High cafeteria.
Jace St. Peter
St. Peter was originally a goalie. He was switched to striker while living with his family in Haiti doing mission work. The change in position was far from easy but it paid off with a huge senior season.
This past fall was St. Peter's second with the Hays High soccer program. He ended the 2022 campaign with 19 goals, one of the top three individual scoring season in program history. His two year total landed him in the top ten for career goals.

St. Peter plans on majoring in Exercise Science. Hays High went 10-6-1 this past season.
