GOVE COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 7p.m. Friday in Gove County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Lincoln Town Car driven by Shane Lee Leiweke Jr., 21 Manzanola, Colorado, was westbound on U.S. 40 just west of Road 140 when it crossed the center line, entered the south ditch, traveled across the highway and traveled into the north ditch.
EMS transported Leiweke, Jr. and passenger Shane Lee Leiweke, Sr., 42, La Junta, Colorado to Logan County Hospital.
A second passenger Brandon Josh Weaver, 27, Hays was not injured. The KHP did not have seat belt usage.
