It was an unusually warm fall day in Hays Wednesday, warm enough to set a record high.
According to the K-State Agricultural Research Center south of town, the temperature reached 74 degrees in Hays.
The previous high for Dec. 6 was 73 degrees back in 1923.
The three day weather forecast calls for cooler temperatures starting Friday with a chance of rain or snow on Friday.
