Hays received another half-inch of rain Thursday morning, staying on trend with a wet spring and early summer.
According to statistics from the K-State Agricultural Research Center, Hays averages 3.36 inches of precipitation during July.
Hays is ahead of average moisture received so far this year by more than two inches.
Just short of 17 inches of precipitation has been recorded. The 152-year cumulative average by July 31 is is 14.71 inches.
The Eagle Media Center, 2703 Hall, recorded 0.55 inches of rain yesterday.
