Norton resident, Gordon Dean Husted, passed away on Feb. 19, 2025, at the Graham County Hospital in Hill City at the age of 87. He was born Dec. 22, 1937, in Sheridan County, Kansas, the son of Franklin and Margaret (Montgomery) Husted.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his bonus brother Archie Hughes and his brother-in-law Steve Kosovich.
Survivors include his wife Anna of Norton; his children: Cynthia Wright of Almena, Robert (Sandy) of Norton, Randall (Brenda) of Almena and Charles (Kari) of Norton; his sister, Marian Kosovich of Junction City; his sister-in-law, Donna Hughes of Dallas, Texas, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Graham County Hospital, Dr. Luke Handy and staff and Dawson Place for the amazing care Dean received.
Cremation was chosen. A private family service will be held at a later date.
