Ervin L. Kuhlman, 86, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Trego-Lemke Memorial Hospital - Long Term Care, WaKeeney, KS.
Ervin was born May 25, 1934, in rural Smith County, KS, the son of
Louis H. and Emma (Grauerholz) Kuhlmann. He married Florence M. Lohman
on June 4, 1954, at St. John Lutheran Church, Athol, KS, to this union
they were blessed with four children, Connie, Marsha, Chris and
Michelle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Florence and a son Chris.
Ervin is survived by three daughters, Connie (Keven) Strutt of Hays,
Marsha (Andy) Oldham of WaKeeney, Michelle Reichard of Lansing; daughter
in law, Wendy Kuhlman of Oberlin; a brother Arthur Kuhlmann of Athol, a
sister Marlene Kuhlmann of Kensington; eight grandchildren, Shawn
Strutt and friend Alicia Pfeffer, Brian Strutt, Joshua (Taner) Nixon,
Jack Farr, Antonio and Dillon Kuhlman, and Matthew Reichard; and ten
great grandchildren, Paige Strutt, Damian, Devon, Jackson and Melissa
Strutt, Carson and Rylee Pfeffer, Oliver and Myles Lee Reichard and
Joseph Nixon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.,
Monday, November 2, 2020, at St. John Lutheran Church, Athol, KS, with
Pastor Bob Sinclair officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday,
November 1, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral
Chapel, 113 S. Madison St., Smith Center. Burial will be in St. John
Lutheran Church Cemetery, Athol with military honors.
Memorials may be given to the church and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
