Fort Hays State University reported 48 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the FHSU community Tuesday, an increase of 15 since Friday.
The university launched a COVID dashboard Friday and will update the page every Tuesday.
Since the page had not been live for a full week, Tuesday's numbers were added to Friday's reporting.
The 48 positive cases identified through testing completed by the Student Health Center came from only 75 total tests, a 64 percent positive testing rate.
The report also said 36 students are currently in on-campus quarantine and a further 17 are currently in off-campus isolation.
FHSU offered free COVID-19 testing to students, faculty and staff at the beginning of the semester through a third party. So far, out of the 1,132 tests completed on a volunteer basis, 127 positives have been identified, according to FHSU.
The campus dashboard is scheduled to be updated each Tuesday and is separate from Ellis County Health Department reports, which are released Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
