
Charlotte Ann Wasko, age 71, of Oakley, passed away on Monday, May 10,
2021, at the Hays Medical Center, Hays. She was born July 4, 1949, in
Quinter, the daughter of Lawrence and Magdolena “Maggie” (Maurath)
Zerr. Charlotte married Matt Wasko on November 28, 1981, in Oakley.
Charlotte
enjoyed spending time in her kitchen, cooking and baking. She loved
her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially the photo and
phone call updates. Charlotte also enjoyed traveling to Michigan and
Colorado to visit her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Altar
Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debbie (Mike) Dewitt; and brother, Garry Zerr.
She
is survived by her husband of 39 years, Matt Wasko; three sons: Joseph
(Shellie) Sanders of Jackson, MI; Sean Wasko of North Glenn, CO; Shane
Wasko (Jennifer) of Lakewood, CO; one daughter, Bonnie (Ed) Visser of
Jackson, MI; four brothers: Jerry Zerr of Oakley, Terry (Janet) Zerr of
Oakley, Leland (Betty) Zerr of Great Bend, Kenny (Robin) Zerr of
Tribune; 10 grandchildren: Brianna Cash, Maranda (Dale) Kemler, Ashleigh
Wasko, Shelby (Shay) Anderson, Colin Visser, Haleigh Sanders, Michelle
Dewitt, Joseph Sanders II, Abbie Visser, and Julian Price; 5
great-grandchildren: Evelyn Cash, Elaina Kemler, Adelyn Cash, Reese
Anderson, and Emelia Kemler; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A
visitation of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021, from 4 – 9 pm with Rosary at 7:00 pm and Funeral Mass at 7:30 pm at St.
Joseph’s Catholic Church, Oakley with Fr. Luke Thielen officiating.
