
Skylar April (Smith) Pooler, 26, died peacefully on March 27, 2023, at
her home in Oklahoma City with her loved ones by her side. She was born
on May 29, 1996, in Cushing, Oklahoma, to Teresa Ann Prince and Steven
Wayne Smith.
Skylar was a 2014 graduate of South Gray High
School. On March 5, 2016, Skylar changed her last name from Smith to
Pooler, when she was united in marriage to Mason Pooler in Dodge City,
Kansas. Skylar was a loving and devoted mother. With Mason's help, the
two of them brought three beautiful children into this world. Skylar
loved her kids unconditionally. You could often find her playing games,
watching movies, or in the kitchen fixing a snack for each child.
She
loved to spend time with her best friends, draw, sing and dance in the
kitchen with her kids, and she loved to attend Sunday worship services
with her family. Skylar took great pride in finding her church family at
Trinity Baptist Church.
Skylar leaves to cherish her sweet
memories, her best friend and better half, Mason A. Pooler; her three
children, Ember R. Pooler, RaeAnn E. Pooler, and Jaxon K. Pooler;
mother, Teresa White; father, Steven Smith; brothers, Ezekiel Alvarado
and Brandon Smith; maternal grandmother, Cindy Bunnell; four
stepsisters; two stepbrothers; and several extended family members,
including special friend Daniel Orman. She was proceeded in death by
grandfathers, Harry Bunnell, Jr and Ross Fain; grandmother, Kaye Smith;
and several friends that departed this world early.
A private
Celebration of Life for Skylar was held by her family.
