The Ellis County Landfill is announcing that the Construction and Demolition pit and dirt pile at the landfill will be closed Friday, June 26th, 2026, due to muddy conditions. These materials will not be accepted in the transfer station for dumping.

Municipal waste, clean rubble, and the tree pile will remain open and there is no dumping after 4:45 p.m.
