Marilyn Mills

Marilyn Mills, age 67, of Gorham, Kansas, died Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at the Russell Regional Hospital, Russell, Kansas.  She was born July 23, 1953, at Osborne, Kansas, to Conrad and Ann (Thummel) Mick.  She married the love of her life,  Dan  Mills on July 3, 1976, at Cawker City, Kansas, and had 44 years of cherished memories.

She was the manager at the Quick Connection Convenience Store in Gorham for 19 years.  Marilyn grew up in Cawker City, and was a 1971 graduate of Cawker High School.  She and Dan moved to Gorham in 1983.  She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gorham, and a member of the First Ladies Sunflower Club. 

She enjoyed traveling especially to Branson, MO and was extremely talented in decorating.  Marilyn could make a house into a warm, welcoming and beautiful home for her family.

Survivors include her husband, Dan, of the home; two sons, Brandon Mills, Topeka, KS; Ryan Mills and wife, Sarah, Maryville, MO; one brother, Lee Mick and wife, Denelle, Cawker City, KS; one sister, Rita Moritz, Cawker City, KS; her mother-in-law, Addie Mills, McCracken, KS; two sisters-in-law, Linda Mick, Glen Elder, KS; Marcia Mick, Concordia, KS; four grandchildren, Chase Cronk, Andrew Cronk, Jackson Mills, Benjamin Mills; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Gilbert Greiner; three brothers, Richard Mick, Gene Mick and Randy Mick; three sisters, Betty Hilgers, Millie Mick and Lois Otto.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary, 412 Main Street, Victoria, Kansas 67671 with Father Michael Elan officiating.   A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, at the mortuary.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Gorham, Kansas in care of the mortuary,
