
Ivan Ralph Lee, 73, of Colby, died Friday, June 4, 2021, at Wesley Medical Center, in Wichita. He was born October 7, 1947, in Burlington, CO, to George Leslie and Wanda (LaRue) Lee.
Ivan graduated high school
in Liberal, KS and served in the United States Army. He was a Vietnam
Vet and was part of the Big Red One. After the military, Ivan continued
to serve others as a Fireman. He was a member of the American Legion,
V.F.W. and Kiwanis. Ivan married Leta Delay on November 11, 1966, and to
this union two children were born.
Ivan was preceded in death by his mother Wanda Thomas; father George
Leslie Lee; stepfather Chester Thomas; father-in-law Wilmer Dean Delay;
mother-in-law Barbara Lee (Bundy) Delay and brothers-in-law, James
Edward Kaspari, Gary Volden and Leon Williams.
Ivan is survived by his wife Leta, of Colby; children, Robert (Kelly)
Lee and Tonja Lee, all of Colby, grandsons, Braydon and Parker Lazaro;
sisters, Pearl Kaspari, Sutherland, NE and Judy Volden, Dumas, TX;
brother Steven Lee, Park City, KS; sister-in-law Deanna Delay Williams,
of Topeka, KS and brother-in-law Guy E. (Doretta) Delay, of Hugoton, KS.
A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 10,
2021, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby. Memorials may be made to the Colby
