Glenda J. Arment, 91, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Smith County Memorial Hospital, Smith Center, KS.
Glenda was born February 27, 1930, in Reemsville, KS, the daughter of
Roy and Edna (Jones) Mankhey. On May 16, 1947, she married Gene M.
Arment in Smith Center, KS, they were blessed with four children, Gerry,
Gwenda, Galen and Gisele.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, husband Gene, a sister, Melinda Moore and three brothers,
Carol, Kenneth and Jerome Mankhey.
Glenda is survived by two
sons, Gerry (Cheryl) Arment of Keller, TX, Galen (Teresa) Arment of
Athol; two daughters, Gwenda (Doug) Devlin of Lebanon, Gisele (Robert)
Reiss of Salina; a sister, Joan Reed of Smith Center; seven
grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral
services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 21, 2021 at the First
Christian Church, Smith Center, with Pastor Randy Hill presiding.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 20,
2021 with family present to greet friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at
All Faiths Funeral Chapel, 113 S. Madison St., Smith Center, KS.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Smith Center.
Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
