SALINA – All 15 swimmers scored points for the Hays High boys Thursday to help the Indians claim top team honors of a meet for the fourth time this season.

HHS scored 408 points at the Salina Central Invitational to outdistance runner-up Rose Hill by 87 points in the 11-school meet.

The Indians sandwiched multiple top-eight finishes around two championship relay performances in the first and last events of the day to record their fifth top-two team finish of the season.

Seniors Karsen Flaska and Chase Zadina and junior Cedric Durr were all three part of those first-place relay foursomes. Flaska also collected the Indians’ lone individual championship – in the 200-yard individual medley.

Next action for the Indians will be Thursday when they travel to Garden City for the Western Athletic Conference Championships.
