The Ellis County Health Department on Monday reminded residents that Fort Hays State University students residing in the county would be counted as local COVID-19 cases if they test positive.
On Monday, the department added an addition 72 cases of COVID-19 to the county's case count.
The department also said that, after a recent influx of cases, contact tracing and notification is taking longer.
