Three hospitalized after 2-vehicle NW Kansas crash

NORTON COUNTY—Three people were injured in an accident just after 11a.m. Wednesday in Norton County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Mazda CX5 driven by  Cynthia K. Lind, 68, Tuscon, AZ., and a 2011 GMC Sierra driven by Edmondson, James T. Edmondson, 57, Hudson, WI., were southbound on Kansas 383 two miles south of U.S. 36.

The Mazda had a right turn signal on and started to turn right, then turned left to turn into the rest area.

The GMC moved to the left to pass and then the vehicles collided.

EMS transported Edmondson and two passengers in the pickup to the hospital in Norton. Lind was not injured.  All four were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
