Another summer day, another heat advisory.

Ellis County and areas to the west are in a heat advisory 1-8 p.m. today issued by the National Weather Service in Dodge City. Counties east of Hays are again in an excessive heat warning.

Tuesday's high in Hays reached 103 degrees as recorded at the K-State Agricultural Research Center

The record high for July 30 in Hays is 116 degrees in 1934.

The <a href="https://hayspost.com/posts/bacf3193-226b-4036-8958-a1682d950229">weather forecast</a> calls for one more day with a high temperature exceeding 100 degrees, then slightly cooler the next two days with a chance of thunderstorms Wednesday night.
