Phillipsburg resident Kay L. Eakins passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021, at the Phillips County Retirement Center in Phillipsburg at the age of 73.
She was born May 19, 1948, in Lincoln, NE the daughter of Victor and Margaret Mae (Brown) Chandler.
She was a kitchen aide at the Phillips County Retirement Center in Phillipsburg.
Kay was united in marriage to Robert L. Eakins on June 12, 1965, in Concordia, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert.
Survivors include her son Sam Eakins and wife Brenda of Burr Oak, KS; brother Ken Chandler and Marta of Mankato, KS; sister Dee Engling and husband Mike of Phillipsburg, KS; four grandchildren: Amber, Lainie, Cordell, and Noah; and two great grandchildren: Keegan and Kason.
Cremation was planned. A private inurnment will take place in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia, KS.
