And just like that, another month has flown by and it's time for another First Friday in downtown Salina!

October festivities kick off at True Betty Boutique, 108 N. Santa Fe Avenue. From 4-7 p.m., True Betty will be hosting Ethan Caylor, the creator of E.D. Caylor Candles. "I design fragrances based on feeling and memories. My fragrances start as accurate renditions of memories - like playing under the lilac bushes - then I add some artistic flare," Caylor noted.

The opening reception for Frank Shaw's ReConsider is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Friday in the Salina Art Center, 242 S. Santa Fe Avenue.

Additionally, live entertainment is scheduled from 5-7:30 p.m. at the stage at N. Santa Fe Avenue and W. Ash Street, sponsored by The Bennington State Bank and Salina Downtown, Inc. This month, Taylor's Twirlers and Bootleg Mercy are scheduled to perform.
